"For God's sake Solly, pack it in!"
Cheyenne pulled back on her reins slightly as she felt her mount tense up again. Despite her effort, he bucked again; throwing his hind legs up in the air and tucking his head between his knees. Chey leaned back, cursing under her breath. "It's just water..."She murmered as he thudded back to the ground. Solitaire exhaled; his steamy breath mingling with the crisp morning air. "Good boy." The girl crooned, leaning forward to scratch his poll. He whickered and began to calmly walk forward, no longer scared of the water. Chey nudged his sides with her heels, sending him forward into a trot. His legs moved fluidly, creating an illusion that he was hovering above the ground. The femme smiled and squeezed his barrel - pushing him into a canter. She absorbed the motion into her, moving with him, as if they were one creature instead of two seperate ones. She laughed and clicked her tongue, causing him to lengthen his stride and lunge forward into a flat-out gallop along the sand. Her hair whipped against her face - blown back by the wind. "Good man!" Cheyenne shouted above the whistling of the wind in her ears. He snorted, as if he was agreeing with her. She chuckled again; Solitiare never ceased to amuse her. "Oi! Pine! Come on, it's only sand. You've seen it before."
Eleanor grumbled as her wimp of a horse refused to go any further. The girl rummaged around in her pockets, until she found a piece of carrot. She placed it in front of Atropine's muzzle, feeling her best friend and riding companion lip at her hands, finishing off the carrot slice. She grinned triumphantly as she felt the mare beneath her finally move. Atropine broke out into a trot, and the pair moved along the coastline. Eleanor smiled as she spotted Cheyenne on Solitaire. She called out to her cousin. "Hey! Cheyenne! Wait up!"She pressed into Atropine's barrel, and the mare broke out into a canter, and then a gallop, until the pair were side by side with Chey and her steed. "Boo!"She laughed, and waited for Cheyenne to speak.[/blockquote]

She laughed, turning sideways to briefly grin at her cousin before returning her focus to spearing Solly on across the sand. His legs extended further, swallowing up the sand beneath him at an incredible pace. Cheyenne chuckled and tossed her head around - removing her hat to let the wind get to her hot head. Normally, she would never risk her safety like this; but she trusted Solitiare would his life and knew that he would never hurt her. After fumbling for a while, she managed to clip that hat onto Solly's D-ring and she could return her full attention to the stud. "C'mon big-man!" Her melodic voice chimed over the wind. She felt Solly's reaction; his churning hooves continuing to move even faster. Chey laughed and turned around in the saddle, letting Solly continue to gallop, to face her cousin. "What're you waiting for?" She teased - nudging Solly with her heels while she was still turned the wrong way round. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Eleanor listened to her cousin speak, and she shifted slightly in the saddle, her blonde hair sticking to the sides of her neck, underneath her hard hat. She laughed and spoke.
"Oh, so you wanna race now, do ya? Ohhh, your making a big mistake there, Chey."
Eleanor giggled and stuck her tongue out at her cousin, before digging her heels into Pine's barrel, letting some loose hair fly back behind her, as she began to race off, the sea lapping at the mare's hooves. Atropine looked back only once, to look Solitaire in the eye. She gave a sort of 'horsey wink', as if to say to him 'Come on hot shot, try and catch some of this.' Atropine tossed her head up and whinnied loudly, and began to go into a gallop, Eleanor and Atropine's form began to fade away from Cheyenne's vision.

"We're only just warming up! Cheyenne clicked her tongue and Solly really got going. He covered an immense amount of ground each stride - his long legs extending in order to bring him side by side with Eleanor. Laughing, Chey nudged him forwards - sending him faster and faster across the sand. A cloud of the gritty substance rose into the air, sent askew by Solly's churning hooves. Cheyenne spotted a large fallen tree and directed her mount toward it. She felt his muscles tense with excitement and, with the grace of an airborne swallow, he soared up and over the log. "Good man! Just a bit further..."
Chey clapped his neck enthusiastically and he whickered with approval, surging forward like a train. "Well done Solly!" Cheyenne gradually slowed him to a walk and flung her arms around his neck, affectionately kissing his withers.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Wow! Solly's fast! But Pine can show him a thing or two. Come on Atropine, let's go!"
Eleanor tossed her head back and laughed as Solly was racing side by side by Pine. Atropine nudged him slightly, and as he raced ahead of her, she followed suit, soaring over the fallen log mere seconds after him. Atropine and Solitaire slowed to a halt together. Eleanor smiled and patted Solly and Pine's necks, before dismounting, keeping a hold on Atropine's reins as she went to stand beside Cheyenne. She grinned and turned her head to face her cousins, before speaking.
"Well done cousin. You're not as bad as I thought you were."
She laughed, and added.
"I was only kidding! Really, I was. Solitaire is really good. I think Atropine and him have a lot in common."
She stood there, taking off her riding hat and hanging it on Atropine's D-ring, so she wouldn't lose it. She then patted Solly on the muzzle, waiting for Cheyenne to say something.

Cheyenne wrapped her arms around the stallion's neck protectively, smothering the length of his mane in kisses. "I have a secret.."
Chey began shiftily, patting Solly's neck. "He's not actually a horse.. He's a motorbike!" She leaned forward and gently took his ears in both hands and turned them as if she was revving a motorbike. Solitiare provided sound effects; blowing a raspberry through his lips. Chey laughed - Solly always had good timing - and let go of his ears, sliding off of his back daintily. She walked around to his head and kissed his velvety muzzle. He nuzzled her back, gently brushing his lips across her face. Skeptically, he glanced over at the mare and whickered a greeting. "Hi." Solitiare nickered; short and sweet. He let his eyes wander over her body once before returning his attention to Chey, who was fumbling around in his saddlebag trying to get her drink out. Along with her coke, she pulled out a packet of mints; causing Solly to go into a frenzy of whinnying. Laughing, Chey emptied several mints into her hand and offered them to the stallion - grinning as he gobbled them all up greedily and began to look for more.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Oh really?"
Eleanor watched Chey as her cousin mounted Solly, and Cheyenne spoke again. After the words came from Cheyenne's mouth, and Eleanor took in the other girls words, she laughed, and replied.
"Ah, I can see that. But that would be weird, because that would mean that Pine would......"
She trailed off, moving over to Cheyenne and whispering in her ear, so only the pair could hear it.
".....have a crush on a machine. Chey, don't tell me you don't see it too. The way Pine likes to race by his side. Why, I bet they're talking right now....."
In fact, Eleanor didn't know this, but Pine and Solly were actually having a conversation.
Pine's auds perked up as she heard Solly speak. She grinned, and stepped towards him, so she was standing a few feet away from him. Her auds were still perked, as her maw opened, and she spoke.
"Hey. Good race, huh? Your pretty fast, y'know." Pine grinned, the smiled stretching her velvety maw, as she felt Eleanor stroke her neck. The mare turned back to her human companion, and smiled as Eleanor pulled a sugar cube from her bag. Pine nudged her nose into Eleanor's hand, eating the sweet treat, before waiting for Solitaire to speak, her head turned towards him.[/blockquote]

Cheyenne chuckled and rubbed Solly's nose, grinning as he made a low, rumbling, purr-like noise in his throat. She took hold of his reins and began to walk him toward the sea. He shied back a metre or so, but then continued to walk forward cautiously. "Shh.. Good man."
Chey whispered, walking him into the water so it reached his coronets. She felt a wave splashing over her boots; the warm water soaking into her purple jodhpurs. Suddenly, Solly's knees buckled and he began to slide down into the water. "Solitaire, get up!" Cheyenne squealed - not wanting his brand new pleasure saddle to get all wet. Hearing the worried tone in his owner's voice, Solly hesitated - his hind legs still planted on the ground while his knees were in the water. Slowly, he pushed himself back up and shook vigorously; sending droplets of water everywhere. "Haha, I know. You're not too rusty yourself,"He whickered, turning back to face Atropine. He raised one eyebrow as she moved closer to him, and he elongated his neck - inhaling deeply to catch her scent. Solitaire snorted and walked forward another few paces, rubbing his muzzle against her cheekbone. "Solly's got a girlfriend!"Chey chimed, grinning at the stallion teasingly. Eleanor sat down on a large, flat rock, her bag by her side, and a bottle of water in her hand. She yawned and unscrewed the lid, taking a swig of the cool liquid, with her eyes still on Cheyenne, who was now leading Solitaire up and down the shoreline. She smiled, until her eyes widened as Solly slipped. She choked on her water, left the water bottle on the rock, and ran over to Chey, and the now very wet stallion. She turned to hear Cheyenne speak, and was about to help, but Solitaire could tell that Chey was worried, and Solitaire scrambled to his feet, shaking water droplets on the floor. Eleanor laughed and petted Solly's nose.
"Aww, you worried Chey then, Solly. I think you gave Atropine a bit of a shock aswell."
She laughed, and stroked the stallion's neck, before walking back to the rock, and taking another sip of water, watching Solly, Chey and Pine.
Atropine's smiled as Solitaire spoke. She grinned, and her eyes widened as Solly began to nuzzle her cheek. She whickered happily, returned the favor.
"Thanks."
She smiled and watched as he was led away by Cheyenne. She whinnied in shock as he slipped into the water, and began to run over to him, but stopped short as he got up, and shook himself. She was now covered in droplets, just like him, but she didn't mind. She ran over to him and nuzzled him.
"Solly! Are you okay?"
Pine looked into his eyes, worry and concern evident in her expression, waiting for him to speak. Her auds perked up, ready to catch his answer, as she nudged him gently and lovingly, waiting for his reply.

Solly whickered happily at all the attention he was getting. Chey laughed and scratched his neck before gathering up her reins and putting one foot in the stirrup. She place one hand on the front of the saddle and swung her other leg over, landing softly on Solly's back. "We best start heading back.. The tide comes in quickly around here,"
Chey gestured to the sea; watching the foam-crested waves ride in to the shore. Solitaire whinnied as the water lapped at his hooves and he took a step backward, shocked by how fast the waves had come in. Chey grinned and walked him in a circle, waiting for Eleanor to get back on Atropine. "Don't worry Pine,"Solly whickered. "I've got it all under control."He chuckled, pacing over to her and nuzzling her gently. He could hear Chey teasing him and he snorted at her indignantly which caused her to go into a frenzy of laughing. Cheyenne turned him away from Pine and nudged him into a trot. "We haven't got all day!"She shouted over her shoulder, grinning back at Eleanor.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Eleanor laughed at Solly's pleased expression, and listened to Chey speak, and mount Solitaire. She grinned and nodded, grabbing her bag, screwing the lid of her water bottle on, and putting it in her bag, before mounting Atropine and putting her hard hat on, grasping the reins and patting Atropine on the barrel, telling her to walk on. She spoke.
"Yeah, let's go. Pepper needs feeding, and I'm sure Max is waiting for you. The horses need a chill out session, aswell."
She laughed, and let Atropine walk beside Solly, as they began to head back home. She laughed, and replied to Chey's second set of words.
"Alright, I'm coming, I'm coming."
Eleanor laughed and broke into a trot aswell, so she was side by side with Cheyenne and Solitaire.
Atropine listened to Solitaire's reply, and she grinned, and felt Eleanor mount her, as she spoke.
"Ok then. Come on, looks like these guys want to get us home."
She smiled and shook her head, blinking for a few moments, before walking on, and then trotting, as Eleanor told her too, and so she was side by side with Solitaire. She waited and wondered if he would say anything else.

Cheyenne nudged Solitaire's sides again, pushing him forward into a canter. Gracefully, he rocked across the sand; disturbing as little sand as possible, as if he was hovering above the ground. "Good man," Chey crooned, gently stroking the silky fur on his neck. He whickered and sped up slightly, extending his long legs further as he cantered. "We're not racing anymore silly."
She laughed, leaning forward and scratching his poll. Gently, she pulled back on the reins so they came level with Pine and Eleanor. Solly whickered huskily and stretched his nose out sideways so he could nuzzle her. Chey grinned, glad that they were getting on so well. Maybe a foal would be on the way soon! Cheyenne almost squealed with excitement, but managed to contain herself - realizing that Eleanor might think she was a tad mental if she suddenly started screaming out of the blue. Cheyenne could now see the stables; the big, oak gates loomed impassively above them. She slowed Solly to a walk and they clattered onto the cobbled yard, greeted by a harmony of whinnies and whickers. ooc; when you post back, do it on the yard.
