the mare stood up shakily, and looked down, smiling happily at the small colt nestled up in the straw. atropine looked around and whinnied happily, wondering where eleanor, cheyenne and solitaire were. she called out for them, and then lay back down to nuzzle her colt, who would later be christened aftermath.
eleanor ran into the breeding barn, and looked over the door of the first stall. a large smile spread across her face when she saw atropine and aftermath. she called over to cheyenne, who was busy sorting out solitaire, to come over and see.
"hey! cheyenne and solly! come over here and see this!"
she grinned happily, and waited for something to happen. she looked down at the young, weak colt and smiled happily.

Cheyenne heard Eleanor's excited voice and she immediately sprinted toward the breeding barn. Solitaire followed at a trot, not wanting to be left out of the excitement. Cheyenne's jaw dropped open as she saw the reason for all the fuss. "Oh.. My.. God."
Solitaire's reaction was similair. His ears flickered forward and he tentatively reached out with his muzzle, pressing it into the foals side. He inhaled deeply. This was his foal. "Well done my love," He whickered; picking his way over to Pine and nuzzling her gently. Cheyenne smiled at the pair - realizing how much they loved eachother. "He's beautiful." Chey concluded, walking over to the foal and kneeling down next to it. She hugged it gently and stroked the soft skin on it's muzzle. Delicately, it layed it's head down onto her lap. The femme felt a warm feeling spreading through her - sheer love for this tiny little foal. "Well done Pine, he's amazing." She complimented quietly; not wanting to disturb the colt.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Eleanor smiled happily, and sat down on the warm straw, beside Solitaire and Atropine, and looked down at the little foal, gently stroking his soft, warm pelt. She hugged Atropine with her other free arm, whilst turning towards Cheyenne and speaking.
"Woah......he looks a little weak. Looks like he'll need hand rearing for the first few months, then we can hand this little fella over to Pine and Solly. I didn't even know that they.......you know. Hey, I have an idea for a name. What about Aftershock? Because, to tell you the truth, I just thought Atropine was getting a little on the plump side."
She laughed, and kissed Pine on the muzzle, before turning back to the foal, gently examining him. Yes, her mother also used to be a vet, and her father knew the anatomy of a horse like the back of his hand. So she knew a lot about horses in medical terms aswell. She pressed gently on the colt's barrel, and giggled slightly when he hiccuped, and then fell back to sleep again. Eleanor spoke.
"Well, he's got the all clear from me. Mum used to be a vet, before she became a horse trainer/breeder, and dad knew the horse anatomy pretty well, so I'm basically a vet, in minor terms. No broken bones, no heart problems. Healthy heart rate. He's a little cold, but he will warm up after we get him inside the house. He's a little weak, but after we hand-raise him for the first few months, he'll be fine afterwards."
Eleanor concluded her little speak, and smiled again, before standing up.
"I'll go get a couple of blankets, and prepare some special powder milk I brought with me from mum and dads, just in case any of Pine's future little ones needed it. Well done you guys."
Eleanore stroked Pine and Solly on the muzzle, and gave one last adoring look to Aftershock, before running back to the house.
Pine whinnied happily at the sight of Eleanor, who was closely followed by Chey and Solly. She whickered softly to Solly.
"Thanks love. He's amazing, isn't he? I wonder what the girls will call him."
Pine yawned and let her head rest on the ground, her orbs looking up at her mates, and she spoke once more. "I love you."She nuzzled him gently, before looking back at Aftershock, smiling.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Cheyenne nodded as Eleanor continued to speak. She gazed down at the little foal with conern and stroked the side of his face, watching as his eyelids fluttered open; revealing the bright green eyes beneath. Chey gasped in awe - normally, horses only had blue or brown eyes. He certainly was special, in more ways than one. "Shall we take him to the manor then? We can give him a tour."
She laughed, thinking of having a slumber party with a foal. This was certainly one of the most amazing things that had ever happened to her - a foal, a horse and a giant mansion all in two months?! It seemed crazy! "We can leave these two to chat." Chey whispered to Eleanor, quietly creeping out of the stall and returning with a tiny sky-blue headcollar. She attached it to Aftershock's head - which was suprisingly problem free - and led him out of the stall toward the road down to her house. Luckily, the manor was only a short walk away from the stable so it wouldn't take too long to get there and they wouldn't have to try and load the foal into a horsebox. "We can talk properly now,"Solitaire whickered, elongating his neck to nuzzle his partner. It was amazing; he now had a baby boy to look after for as long as he should live, and it was all because of this beautiful mare.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

The girl nodded and smiled, waiting at the door of the manor with 2 fluffy, light blue blankets, a hot-water bottle, with luke-warm water in it, so it wouldn't burn Aftershock, and some nice, warm milk, in a bottle, made from the special power solution that her mother gave her, before she left to come to Oakhurst Stables. She grinned and beckoned Chey and Aftershock into the house, waving at Atropine and Solitaire, before walking back into the house and sitting down on the couch, waiting for the others to come inside.
Pine watched them go, and whickered a goodbye to her colt, before turning back to Solly, and smiling.
"Yeah, we can talk now. Phew, giving birth is hard. But he is so worth it. So are you, y'know."
She grinned, and nuzzled Solitaire happily, before looking around, and speaking again.
"And Aftershock has green eyes. Where did he get that from?"
Atropine stretched, and her whipcords flicked about at her rump, and she waited patiently for her lover, and partner, to speak.
occ: Ok, so when you reply with Cheyenne and Aftershock, can you make another post for them in the manor, and just reply with Solitaire here? Thanks
